The STA EX Self-Adhesive Fiberglass Tape is designed for structural reinforcement of surfaces that are prone to cracking or where seams and joints need stabilizing. The mesh is made of alkali-resistant fiberglass woven fabric, treated and paired with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side so no extra compound or glue is needed to hold it in place initially. Common uses include drywall or plasterboard joints, cracks in walls, corners, tile backing, or even over cracks before waterproofing or painting. The mesh allows reinforcement while allowing the surface to be skimmed / plastered over. It is lightweight, flexible, and resistant to moisture and alkali attack when used properly.
