This 90 cm spirit level is a sturdy and reliable tool commonly used in construction, carpentry, tiling, plumbing, and DIY tasks to ensure surfaces are level or plumb. It features an aluminium box-section profile which gives sufficient rigidity over its length. The body is often powder-coated or anodized to resist corrosion, wear, and to protect delicate surfaces. It usually includes two or three acrylic/acrylic-glass vials (horizontal, vertical, sometimes 45°) with fluorescent or colored liquid for visibility. The vials are mounted in durable housings, sometimes epoxy-locked, and the ends have impact-resistant caps (often rubber or plastic) to protect from drops. Some models include milled (machined) surfaces for better accuracy, dual measuring surfaces, or ribs for grip. Accuracy is typically around ±0.5 mm per meter in the normal position, with slightly larger error in reversed position
