This 5 kg ready-mixed skimming joint compound is formulated for interior finishing work: smoothing out uneven plaster, patching imperfections, covering joints between plasterboard or gypsum board, filling fastener heads, and creating a uniform smooth surface before painting or wallpapering. It typically has a creamy white consistency that spreads smoothly, costs minimal shrinkage, sands easily, and often is low in odour and VOC. It may adhere well to various substrates including plaster, concrete, masonry, painted surfaces, fibre board, and gypsum board. Drying times depend on the thickness, number of coats, and environmental conditions. It is usually applied using a trowel or skimming blade, sometimes in two to three coats, and then lightly sanded when dry.
