It is designed to mimic the appearance of carpet, wood, tile, or other materials while offering the advantages of PVC: waterproof or water-resistant performance, ease of cleaning, resistance to staining, durable wear under foot traffic, and lower cost compared to traditional textile carpets. These floors are produced in several thicknesses (from thin rolls for light foot traffic, to thicker sheets for heavier traffic), with optional backing, printed or textured surface layers, and sometimes cushioning or anti-slip treatments.
