This Dulux Universal Undercoat is meant for use under decorative topcoats on a variety of substrates: cement plaster, gypsum plaster, concrete, fibre cement, galvanised iron, mild steel, wood, and more. It’s used to level surfaces, fill minor imperfections, hide dark colours, and strengthen intercoat adhesion. Drying and recoat times are moderate, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications (though not exposed roofing). It cannot be used as final finish; must be followed by a topcoat.
