Binding Wire

1.6 mm binding wire is a low carbon steel wire (often black annealed or galvanized) commonly supplied in rolls/coils or spools. It’s used on sites to securely tie reinforcing bars (rebar), wire mesh, or structural steel, and for many bundling tasks. The wire’s small diameter provides sufficient strength while still being flexible enough to twist by hand or use tie-wire tools. Depending on whether it is black annealed or galvanized, it may offer different corrosion resistance. The coil is typically coated, oiled, or wrapped for rust protection and ease of handling.
